The external features of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 are auto flush door handles, active air flap, parametric pixel LED head & tail lamps, rear spoiler with LED high mount stop lamp, R20, and LED daytime running lights. This car looks stylish outside and comfortable inside.
The Ioniq 5 is super designed. It is designed to pay homage to Hyundai’s first car. It also gets attractive helical cuts on the wheel arches and the wheelbase is also raised by 20 mm.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Drive Review: Interior Design
Electric cars are using egg-shaped cabins in an effort to boast a low aerodynamic drag coefficient. The Ioniq 5 is the first-ever passenger vehicle. The interior design specifications include a front seat, rear seat, front trunk, sliding center console, memory seat configuration, heated function, premium relocation seat, and dark pebble grey interior color.
Ioniq 5 Review: Performance
Powering the rear wheels of the Ioniq 5 is an electric motor that generates 217 PS and 350 Nm of peak output. The acceleration is brisk, and it can reach 100 kph in just 7.6 seconds. The battery pack sitting underneath the floor makes sure there is not too much of a baby roll to keep it grounded with a ground clearance of 163 mm.
Dialling in the Sport mode takes a press of a button sitting on the steering wheel. No stress saying the Ioniq 5 offers the best balance of comfort and dynamics with a Hyundai badge in India. My favourite part is the intelligent mode, which offers a seamless single-pedal driving experience. This EV can be charged with a 50kW fast charger. It requires 18 minutes of fast charging with a 350 kW charger.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Review: Design – Inherits Retro Charm
EVs are using egg-shaped cabins in an effort to boast a low aerodynamic drag coefficient. Modernity is not compromised in any way though. The nose gets a wide piano black panel mimicking the air dam and merging into slim LED headlamps, which also use Parametric Pixel LED DRLs. Doors flaunt concealed handles, and the design for 20-inch rims looks busy but appealing.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 miss on a rear wiper, the spoiler is designed with 2 larger voids. The overall design is appealing with a crossover-like silhouette.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Review: Cabin – Innovative & Intelligent Inside
The highlight of the cabin remains the overall interior theme with the use of white grey and black colors. Hyundai is using 2 larger 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment unit and instrument cluster.
The steering wheel misses out on a Hyundai logo, but the hub felt cute. It is made with recycled material and finished with biologically extracted paints. The whole centre console is slidable and it has a lot of space to store knick-knacks.
The front and rear seats of Ioniq are large and comfortable. It gets two-way adjustable front headrests, and the seats come with extra thigh support. The rear bench is very wide and spacious and comes with a reclining function. Ioniq 5 further gets level-2 ADAS tech, in addition to other passive safety systems and an 8-speaker Bose sound system.
By reading this you know that Hyundai Ioniq 5 is the best electric car in India with a price of Rs 44.95 lakh. It is the most expensive EV in India today. The real-world range is about 500 km and 350 kW fast charging capabilities are impressive. So it is the best premium electric car in India.
