WBJEE Application Form 2020 (Released): Registration Dates, Fees & Procedure

WBJEE application form 2020 has been released by WBJEEB (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board) on October 18, 2019. Eligible candidates will be able to fill the application form for WBJEE 2020 till November 13, 2019. WBJEE 2020 application process involves registration, filling the application form, uploading the images, payment of application fees and downloading the confirmation page. WBJEE application form correction facility will be available for candidates on the official website of the board from November 14 to 16, 2019. Candidates were allowed to make corrections in their WBJEE application form using the online application form correction facility.

Documents Required while Filling WBJEE Application Form 2020

Candidates are asked to keep the following documents ready with them while filling the WBJEE application form. Please note that the information entered in the application form should be same as mentioned in the following documents.

  • Domicile Certificate
  • Category Certificate
  • Annual Family Income proof
  • Scholarship certificate issues from TWF (If Applicable)
  • JEE Main 2020 application number if appeared for the exam
  • Class 10th mark sheet
  • Class 12th mark sheet
  • Passing Certificate
  • Debit/ Credit card details for fee payment
  • Candidates who have passed or appearing in class 12 with science stream are eligible for WBJEE 2020.
  • WBJEE Application Process involves online registration, filling the form, uploading photo and signature and registration fee payment.
  • WBJEE Application Fees for General/ EWS category is INR 700 and INR 500 for SC/ ST/ OBC-A and OBC-B candidates.
  • The application fees can be paid in online mode only via Netbanking, Debit card or Credit card.
  • WBJEE Application Form Correction Window will be open from November 14 – 16, 2019.
  • Successfully registered candidates will be issued WBJEE Admit Card in January 2020.

How to Fill WBJEE 2020 Application Form?

The application form for WBJEE 2020 can be filled in online mode only. The detailed procedure for completing WBJEE Application Form 2020 are mentioned below:

Step 1 – Apply for Online Registration

All candidates who wish to take WBJEE 2020 had to register themselves by following the steps given below:

  1. Candidates have to go to “New Candidate Registration”.
  2. Select the Application Form of WBJEE 2020 and click on the “Apply” button.
  3. The instruction page would appear on the screen which had to be read carefully.
  4. After reading the instructions, the candidates had to click on “Click here to Proceed” to register for WBJEE 2020.

To register, candidates have to fill/ select the following information: 

  • Candidate’s name
  • Father’s Name
  • Mother’s Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Identity Type –
  • Select any one of these (Student ID/Voter ID Card/Passport number/Aadhaar Card/Ration Card/Bank Account/Other valid Govt Identity)
  • Identity Number
  • Select Locality (Optional) from the dropdown list
  • Select District Address
  • Email ID
  • Contact Number
  • Choose Password and reconfirm Password
  • Enter the security question and security answer
  • Enter security PIN –
  1. If you wanted to edit or make corrections in the data/ information entered in the registration stage –
  2. Click on “Edit Registration Form” or else click on the “Submit” button. This completed the registration procedure.
  3. A new page would open wherein your registration status would be reflected as Application Form “Submitted Successfully”.
  4. The page would also show your WBJEE 2020 application number.
  5. Save this application number which will also be sent to candidates registered email ID.
  6. After checking the status, click on “Complete Application Form” button.

Step 2: Fill Online Application Form

  • Select Domicile
  • Select Category
  • Select Yes/No for PwD Status (If required)
  • Select Home District
  • Select Annual Family Income from the dropdown list
  • Select Yes/No for TFW (If required)
  • Select Religion
  • Select Nationality
  • Select Yes/No if you have applied for JEE Main 2020 (You have to enter JEE Main 2020 application number if applied for JEE Main 2020)
  • Select Apply For
  • Choose 3 exam zones from the dropdown list of 13 exam zones as per your priority
  • Academic Qualification
  • Status of Qualification
  • Name of Course /Stream
  • Board/ University
  • Passing Year
  • Marks (%)
  • Roll Number
  • Name and address of qualifying institute
  • Pin Code

After entering these details, enter security pin and click on the “Submit” button. A status page will reflect your Application Form as “Submitted Successfully”.

Step 3: Upload Scanned Photograph and Signature

  1. At this stage, the candidate has to upload scanned images of their recent color photograph and signature all in one go.
  2. The photograph should be recently taken so that it matches with the candidate’s physical features.
  3. The format and size of the scanned copies should be as follows:

  • Low-quality images are not acceptable and are likely to be rejected.
  • Background of the photograph must be light in colour.
  • The face of the candidate should occupy at least 50% of the entire space for photograph looking straight to the camera.
  • Spectacles of dark or tinted glasses in the photograph are not acceptable.
  • Copy of the same photograph needs to be produced for entering the examination centre, during WBJEE Counselling, admission, registration with the university etc.

Once successfully uploaded, the images will be reflected on the right side of the page. Now, enter the security pin and click on the Upload button. The status of uploaded Images will reflect on the next page showing – Uploaded Successfully. Now, click on “Pay Examination Fee” button.

Steps to Remove Discrepancy in Uploaded Images of WBJEE 2020 Application Form

Those candidates who need to change their uploaded images due to some problems are notified through SMS or Email by the admission authorities. These candidates have to remove any discrepancy in their uploaded images by following the given steps:

  • The candidates will have to log into their account using their application number and password.
  • The uploaded images should be according to the specifications mentioned by the admission authorities.
  • After making the changes, the candidates will have to submit the application form of WBJEE.

Step 4: Payment of fees

After uploading the images, the candidate will be redirected to the payment section. The application fee for appearing in WBJEE is INR 500for all the candidates.

  • The application fee can be paid either in online mode (Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card) or offline mode (using Allahabad Bank e-challan) with Core Banking Services.
  • WBJEE application fee is non-refundable.
  • As per the mode of payment selection, Bank’s Service Charges will be applicable.

Step 5: Confirmation Page

  • After the submission of the filled WBJEE application form 2020, a confirmation page was generated.
  • Candidates had to take a print out of the confirmation page for future use.
  • Unless the confirmation page is generated, the application process was not complete.

WBJEE 2019 Application Form Correction

The Board will open the window for form correction for only those candidates who submit their WBJEE 2019 Application form before the last with complete payment. The WBJEE 2019 Form Correction window is going to be open for a limited time period only. The aspirants can edit/ modify/ change any detail(s) in the Application Form. To edit details, the aspirants need to log in by entering details such as Application Number and Password.

What Details You Cannot Edit in WBJEE 2019 Application Form?

In the WBJEE 2019 Application Form, the aspirants cannot change the following details:

  • Candidate’s Name
  • Father’s Name
  • Mother’s Name
  • Date of Birth

WBJEE Application Fee 2019:

After filling all the required information in the online application from and submitting the application from, candidate have to pay examination fee of Rs 500 which is non refundable. Students can pay the examination fee either in cashless mode by net banking/debit card/credit card or in cash using the e-challan of Allahabad bank.

WBJEE Admit Card 2019:

The candidates who have registered successfully for WBJEE 2019 can download their admit card after May 14, 2019 (tentatively). Students can find all the necessary details related to exam like exam centre, test schedule, paper on their admit card. Students have to carry a hardcopy of their admit card in the examination centre. If a candidate found any discrepancies in the information provided on the admit card, he/she should immediately contact WBJEEB so that necessary action can be taken. Candidates can follow the steps as mentioned below to get their admit card for WBJEE 2019.

  1. Visit the official website of WBJEE 2019
  2. Candidates will have to click on link showing Admit card for WBJEE 2019.
  3. After clicking the link, a new page will open up where you can enter your credentials and download the admit card.

WBJEE Exam Centres 2019:

The exam centres list for WBJEE 2019 has been published by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) along with the notification. The candidates appearing for the WBJEE entrance exam must check the exam centres list before filling up the application form. Candidates who are from West Bengal, Assam and Tripura can select any three zones according to their priority. While candidates from other states must select any of the three zones out of Kolkata, Howrah, North 24 , Parganas, and South 24 Parganas. WBJEE Exam Pattern 2019:

It is very important to know the paper pattern before appearing for actual examination. WBJEE 2019 will be conduct in offline mode (i.e., OMR based).   • Only one option is correct out of the four given options.
  • For each correct response one mark is awarded, while 1/4 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • Marking more than one answer option in the OMR sheet will be treated as incorrect answer, which means 1/4 mark will be deducted.

B.     Category 2

  • Only one option is correct out of the four given options.
  • Two marks will be awarded for each correct answer, while 1/2 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response.
  • Marking more than one answer option in the OMR sheet will be treated as incorrect answer, which means 1/2 mark will be deducted.

C.    Category 3

  • One or more than one option is correct for each question.
  • Each question carries two marks.
  • Marking of correct options will lead to a maximum mark of two on pro rata basis.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answer.
  • For partially correct response, marks awarded will be = 2 (No. of correct options marked/Total no. of correct options)

Frequently Asked Questions on WBJEE 2019 Application Form

Q. I don’t have any personal phone, can I give my parent’s mobile number at the time of registration?

A. Though it is advised that you should provide your own Email ID and Mobile Number. However, if you do not have a personal phone you can provide your parent’s mobile number but ensure that the number should be kept active till the end of the admission process.

Q. Is there any specification for the Domicile Certificate in WBJEE 2019 Application Form?

A. Yes, the aspirants need to keep the domicile certificate along with them as it will be required in the later stage of the Admission process. The date of the certificate must be later than December 31, 2018.

Q. Can I change my exam center once I have submitted the WBJEE Application Form?

A. The aspirants once submitted the WBJEE 2019 Application Form along with the application fee cannot change the exam center choice.
