CBSE Latest Updates: Usage of Calculators, Relaxation in Norms, and Alert on Board Exams Rumors

CBSE Board Exam 2020: To help the students facing difficulty in solving arithmetic calculations Central Board of Secondary Education came up with a thought to allow children under CWSN to use a basic calculator starting this year. Students who have already registered for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 Board Exams under CWSN Category can avail this facility.

In order to utilize this facility students have to give a request to the Schools before January 28th so that principals can forward it to the corresponding regional office of CBSE. However, Candidates who have requested without an appropriate certificate will not be allowed to use calculators.

In fact, CBSE Board will arrange the Calculators based on the number of CWSN students each exam center has to accommodate. Candidates are not permitted to bring calculators from their homes. Once the CBSE Regional Centre receives the final list of students under CWSN Category same list will be sent to the CBSE Board to make necessary arrangements for Calculators.

CBSE Relaxes Norms for Children of Military fighting Terrorism

CBSE decided to extend the relaxation in norms for children of armed forces for their upcoming class 10 and 12 board exams. Wards appearing for Class 10 or 12 Examination in 2020 can change their examination center in the same city or to some other city if they wish.

Students who missed their practical exam, the same would be conducted by the schools as per their convenience before April 2nd, 2020. If they wish to appear for the exam later in any offered subject they will be permitted to do so.

All these candidates have to make necessary requests to schools which will be then forwarded to Concerned CBSE Regional Office.

CBSE Latest Alerts for Students, Parents against Rumors on Board Exams

In response to the fake messages and videos spreading across Social Media regarding the Board Exams, CBSE alerted students and parents. The Central Board of Secondary Education appeals to the general public not to spread baseless information and rumours and cooperate with them to conduct the 2020 exams smoothly.

CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams begin from Feb 15th whereas Class 10 Exams complete on March 20 and Class 12 on March 30.
