RBSE Board Exam 2020 NOT starting from 16th April, Rajasthan Education Minister Dotasra terms reports as fake news

RBSE Board Exam 2020 Revised Dates: With the 21-day lockdown announced due to the on-going public health emergency due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Rajasthan of Secondary Education (RBSE) has decided to postpone all the board exams or 5th Class, 8th Class, 10th Class and 12th Class students. But, recently several reports have been published on social media platforms claiming that the Rajasthan Board 10th and 12th Exam 2020 as well as 5th and 8th Class Exams held by DIET’s will be held by the board form 16th April 2020, after the lockdown is lifted. However, Rajasthan Board has not issued any official notification regarding the revised exam schedule for RBSE Board Exams 2020. This has led to a lot of confusion and concern among the students and their parents who are waiting for the exams to resume.

Education Minister Refutes Rumours

Amid rumours regarding Rajasthan Board Exam 2020 for all classes being held from 16th April 2020, State Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra has issued a clarification terming such reports as fake news. He also said that currently, no dates have been finalized for pending papers of RBSE 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th Board Exams. The media reports doing the rounds have claimed that exams for 10th Class and 8th Class students would commence from 16th April 2020 while exams for 12th Class students would be held from 20th April. Fake News on social media platforms also claimed that RBSE 5th Exam 2020 would be held in first week of May 2020. However, the state education minister have termed these reports as fake and also denied that any such exam dates have been decided by the Boards or DIETs.

Number of Students Appearing for Board Exam

According to the estimates shared by BSER, Ajmer, a total of 20.50 lakh students will be appearing for the 10th and 12th Class Board Examinations. Of this, 11.35 lakh students are appearing for Rajasthan Board 10th Exam 2020, while the rest 8.67 lakh students are appearing for 12th Class exam for all three streams i.e. Arts, Commerce and Science. On similar lines, around 42989 students have registered for Rajasthan Board Vocational Examination while 6972 students are appearing for Rajasthan Praveshika Exam and 3847 students are appearing for Varishtha Upadhyay examination. All these students are eagerly awaiting the announcement of revised board examination dates.
