Isha Mahashivratri 2020: Spiritual guru Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation is all set to celebrate Mahashivrati on 21st February 2020. It’s a festival dedicated to worship Hindu God “Shiva” or “Adi Guru” from whom the yogic transition originates. Significance of Mahashivaratri
There are many stories that depict the significance of this festival. One Common belief is it is on this day Lord Shiva drank Poison that came out from the ocean during the Samudra Manthan between gods and demons. Shiva Ratri is considered auspicious by women and married women pray for the well being of their husbands, unmarried women pray for an ideal husband.
In general, it is believed that people who chant the name of Shiva during Shiva Ratri with pure devotion will be freed from all the sins. Devotees of Lord Shiva line up to offer prayers to Lord Shiva at Shiv Temples on this day.

In order to avail the details like Isha Mahashivrati Entry Fee, Tickets Price, Booking you can go to the site isha.sadhguru.org or enquire calling the contact number 83000 83111.
Fill up the necessary details as a part of the registration and there is no specific fee. You can contribute starting from 1000 once you fill-up the required details. If you wish to contribute more than 50,000 you need to submit PAN Card Details. You will be redirected to the payment gateway and you can complete the payment over there and finish your registration.
Within one business day after you have donated, you will receive a receipt for your donation and a confirmation email with your registration number. Closer to the event, you will receive an ePass by email.
Note: People stayed or traveled to (China / Hong Kong / Macau / Taiwan / Singapore / Thailand) in the last 28 days, and/or anybody who has any symptoms of Novel Coronavirus are advised not to register to prevent the spread of Corona Virus.

21 days: Feb 1 – Feb 21

Daily Sadhana Process
Guidelines
- Have only 2 meals a day. The first meal should be after 12:00 noon.
- If you feel hungry, you can drink the peppercorn-honey-lemon juice and water mixture again.
- Avoid smoking, consuming alcohol and eating non-vegetarian food.
- A black cloth should be worn, tied on the upper right arm for men and the upper left arm for women. Any black cloth can be used, but the cloth should be 12 inches in length and 1 inch wide. Those participating in the sadhana can procure the black cloth by themselves.
- Wear only white or light-colored clothing.
- Please have a bath or shower twice a day using herbal bathing powder.
- Apply Vibhuti on the following points: Agna – between the eyebrows, Vishuddhi – pit of the throat, Anahata – just beneath where the rib cage meets, and Manipuraka – just below the navel.
