CBSE Board Exam 2020 Dates Announced: CBSE Board has formally released the detailed activity calendar or the annual activity schedule for the upcoming months. As part of the CBSE annual activity calendar, the board has also formally released the tentative examination dates for the CBSE Board Exam 2020. The activity calendar released by the board provides tentative examination dates for both CBSE 10th Board Exam 2020 and CBSE 12th Exam 2020. While the tentative exam dates have been announced by the board the detailed exam datesheet for CBSE Board Exam 2020 is still expected in the coming days.

Exam for Main Subjects in March 2020

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has released a ready reckoner for its planned yearly activities recently. As per the official notice shared by the board with the affiliated schools, the CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2020 would begin from March 2, 2020 for main examination.

The circular releases states that the board examination for ‘small subjects’ would commence from mid-February – as was announced last year as well. CBSE 10th 12th date sheet for board exams 2020 would be released in due course of time.

Kindly note that the circular states that the examination for main or major subjects would commence from the first working day of March every year and not categorically mentioned March 2. The actual dates may hence vary and all must keep a look out on cbse.nic.in for the CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2020 Date sheet which would be released later.

The circular further highlights all the activities planned by the board and have instructed the schools to notify the students and also share important information with them. The complete date sheet or time-table for CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2020 is expected only by end of November or in December 2019.

From 2019, in order to accommodate the order of Delhi High Court, CBSE has started to conduct the vocational subjects’ board exams from the month of February. While there were reports from various sources that CBSE is mulling starting with main subjects from February, the circular states otherwise.

The schedule of activities and circulars shared by the board are listed in the circular. Among the other activities, CBSE has also mentioned the release of the sample question papers that pertain to the changed pattern of the CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2020.

CBSE Board Exam 2020 Datesheet Soon

CBSE Class 10th, 12th Board Exam 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the datesheet of the Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exam 2020 soon. All the candidates can check the CBSE Class 10th and 12th Board Exams 2020 datesheet on the official website, the link for which is cbse.nic.in

The board exams 2020 will be conducted via 16 regional offices of CBSE. As per sources, the main exam will begin from February 15, 2020.

How to check CBSE Class 10th, 12th Board Exam 2020 datesheet:

  • Log on to the official website of CBSE
  • On the homepage, search for the link which says ‘CBSE Class 10th Board Exam 2020 datesheet’ or ‘CBSE Class 12th Board Exam 2020 datesheet’
  • Check the examination date and other details
  • Download it and take print out of the same for future reference.

CBSE Class 10th, 12th Board Results 2019: Details

This year, the board declared the CBSE Class 10 Result 2019 on May 6. As reported, 91.1 per cent students cleared the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2019. As compared to the last year, there was an increase in the total pass percentage in CBSE Class 10 Board Exam Result 2019. In CBSE Class 10th results, 13 students got 499/500 marks. As many as 13 students have scores 99.9% in the board examination, 97 students in Top 3 on CBSE Class 10 Results.

Meanwhile, the CBSE Class 12 Results 2019 were announced on May 2. Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora topped the board with 499 out of 500 marks. Further, 83.4 per cent students passed the class 12th examination.
Also, the CBSE Class 10th and 12th Compartment Exams 2019 were held in the month of June and July.

CBSE & NCERT launch ‘Tamanna’ Aptitude Test

Under the aegis of Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) have launched an online aptitude test dubbed as ‘Tamanna’ (Try And Measure Aptitude And Natural Abilities) in a bid to help students make right career choices.

What is Tamanna?

It is an aptitude test for Senior School Students to enable stakeholders knowing the aptitude of students of Classes 9 and 10. It aims to help students of Class 9 and Class 10 make a better choice of subjects, and eventually help them in making an informed decision while choosing subjects in Class 11 and 12. However, there is no pass or fail in this test as Tamanna only provides information about the weaknesses and strengths of students.

CBSE (Know your aptitude) KYA exam will assess a student’s strengths and weaknesses in academics. The test should be taken voluntarily by interested students and must not be used to impose any subject, courses of study and/or vocations etc. on  students. CBSE initially conducted piloting of test with 17,000 students of Class 9 and 10 across India.

CBSE KYA registration process: As per CBSE circular, the registration process for KYA will begin from 29 January 2020 on CBSE’s official website – cbse.nic.in. Students can appear for the test on any working day, by using school’s log-in id.

CBSE has also availed a test manual in which details about use of aptitude test, dimensions measured in test, construction and standardization of test, administration and scoring and understanding meaning of aptitude test scores are available.
