Samsung tops the list of Android manufacturers who built some of the best smartphones in the market at the moment. The South-Korean technology giant is perhaps among the very few companies that are making good money while selling its flagship offering so rapidly. Companies such as LG as well as HTC also end up creating bigger smartphones that sell well, however, none have been able to come anywhere close to Samsung.
As noted by BGR, the worst kind of thing that could happen to Samsung is another Note fiasco or perhaps, the emergence of another serious contender. A Chinese company such as Huawei or Xiaomi is arriving closer each year in terms of profits they are securing worldwide, but specifically from the Asian market.
These companies have solely been limited to Asian markets as of now. However, they plan on expanding their reach pretty soon. A new report published by The Information now suggests that Huawei plans on selling its new Mate 10 smartphone through the AT&T US carrier. This is a terrible news for Samsung. The Mate 10 is considered as being a big challenge for Samsung’s flagship smartphone – Galaxy S9. The Galaxy S-series of smartphone usually ends up carrying the same boring design most of the times.
When one talks about the Mate 10 smartphone, the handset comes packed with several high-end specifications – good enough to compete directly with Samsung’s Galaxy series of handsets. For example, the fingerprint scanning feature for security purpose or a splendid pair of front and rear cameras.
Both the companies continue to keep the physical headphone jack intact in the devices. The report by The Information further goes on to state, “Huawei is lining up a $100 million advertising drive to go along with the US launch of the Mate 10 smartphone.” The report further stated that the company is currently negotiating with Verizon and other US carriers for the sale of the Mate 10 line-up as well.
