The Google vs Amazon feud has taken place all throughout the holiday season. What’s worse is that there are no signs of stopping from either one of the companies. In fact, the fight is just getting worst. Needless to say, it appears that that the two companies still haven’t reached a deal as of yet. Google has gone on to block access to YouTube in the majority of Amazon Fire TV devices.

According to a report by The Insider Car News, the e-commerce giant attempted to divert the attention of its Fire TV users from YouTube’s removal by going on to implement what can be described as being a one-to-one replication of the YouTube desktop website onto the device.

This service is scheduled to launch for users sometime this year, however, an exact date is not known yet. Just ahead of this could happen, it is known that access to YouTube application has been blocked on Amazon Fire TV devices. It is still uncertain whether this move was Amazon or Google’s doing. The users are ending up in a bigger puddle of loss as the removal took place way before they even had the chance to get used to the thought of the important service going away.

Amazon Fire TV

The latest struggle between Google and Amazon began when the search giant removed YouTube access from Amazon’s Echo Show set of smart-home speakers. The e-commerce giant deactivated the application on Fire TV sticks thereafter. Google has been upset with Amazon for not allowing the sale of smart-home speakers on its e-commerce platform.

Moreover, they are not very happy about the lack of Google Cast support in Prime Video as well. Fire TV users, on the other hand, are now being encouraged to install web browsers like Amazon’s Silk or Firefox to gain access to video content. Recently, Google and Amazon have been having what most describe as, a childish fight.
