If you are owning an iPhone and facing the problem of CPU slowing down then here we have bought an update to make you smile. A new announcement from Apple clears that the slowing down issue was due to the aging of the battery which can now be solved by replacement of old battery with a new one.
Now you might be thinking that you need to spend $79 on a new battery but for that Apple is offering this battery replacement at an effective price of $29. Earlier this week Apple published a letter to its customers, apologizing for slowing down of older iPhones as their batteries aged, also said that they will reduce the price of batteries of the affected phones from $79 to $29. The company said that now the customers can replace the battery at this reduced price.
Apple also said that they were expecting to need some time to get ready for this battery replacement process but they are happy to offer this reduced priced replacement right away. Earlier the company announced that they’ll be offering this replacement offer by late January but also the initial supplied would be limited but now the company has announced that the supply is available from right now and users can get their iPhone charged up with the new battery again at a reduced cost of $29.
Apple was under legal lawsuits for the slowing down of performances of its iPhone. Just in a week, there were three lawsuits from different places which claimed that Apple is remotely slowing down the old iPhones so that a user can seek to upgrade to a new model. A lawsuit also asked that after facing such problem when he moved to an Apple store, he has been pitched to upgrade to a new model.
A total of 5 lawsuits were filed against Apple and the company took it seriously and made an announcement with the actual reason for this decline of CPU performance.
