A point which becomes an issue of racism for others is found normal by a mother. All the matter starts with H&M’s ad for a hoodie in which a black boy was giving pose. The point that struck in everyone’s mind was the line printed on the hoodie that is,”coolest monkey in the jungle.”
This lets the people stand for the point which can affect the inner soul of that child. At this, his mother comes in front and calls all the critics as “cry wolf”. She says that she was present at the shoot and doesn’t notice anything wrong with that. The reason for her anger was the outrage by people at social media. People start defaming Swedish clothing giant H&M, that they had intentionally called a black boy as the monkey when on the other side a white child in a similar hoodie was a “survival expert”.
The mother of that boy says,“Stop crying wolf all the time, the unnecessary issue here ……… get over it.” She says that this can be someone’s opinion about the shoot but she doesn’t think in the same way. Well at this, H&M had already issued a letter of apology which is meaningful although. The whole matter comes in front when the outrage becomes a part of the headline and the mother responded to the request.
Well after this all, H&M had released an apology in which they say,“everything we possibly can to prevent this from happening again in the future.” There are some stars like The Weeknd, who is working in the clothing industry says that this incidence will not let them work with the Scandinavians in future. Another stars like LeBron James and Diddy also calls the decision wrong, which H&M had edited the pictures showing the boy with a crown on his head. They say that this is making the whole matter huge than before.
