Students can check and download the answer key through candidate login using their application number and password\/ date of birth. NTA has also released the students response sheets. Students having any objections in the answers can also challenge the answer key in online mode till January 15 (11:50 PM). Candidates who have appeared in the entrance test will be able to download the answer key for both paper 1 and paper 2 in the form of PDF.<\/p>\n<p>The answer key have the correct answers to the questions asked in the\u00a0JEE Main exam. Question ID and correct option id is mentioned in the answer key. Students can calculate their scores using the answer key. Well no! Each candidate who is appearing for the exam in the same shift will have the same question paper. Just to avoid any cheating candidates&#8217; question papers will be jumbled, implying the positioning of questions and their respective answers will be different for two students in the same shift but each shift will have same question paper. Since the exam will be conducted in two shifts, each day two exam sets will be given and over the period of time, as many as 16 different question papers will be given to students.<\/p>\n<div class=\"heading-lvblg\"><strong>JEE Main 2020: Percentile scoring<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"body-lvblg\">\n<p>As question appears in each set are different, candidates&#8217; marks will be normalized to maintain equity when it comes to marks, according to NTA. Students will be scored on percentile.<\/p>\n<div class=\"heading-lvblg\"><strong>JEE Main 2020: Why normalisaton?<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"body-lvblg\">\n<p>The candidates who attempt the comparatively tougher examination are likely to get lower marks as compared to those who attempt the easier one. In order to overcome such a situation, \u201cNormalization procedure based on Percentile Score\u201d will be used for ensuring that candidates are neither benefitted nor disadvantaged due to the difficulty level of the examination, states NTA.<\/p>\n<div class=\"heading-lvblg\"><strong>What is percentile score?<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"body-lvblg\">\n<p>Percentile scoring is a mechanism of given relative marks to students. Instead of the marks each candidate has gained, there will be a comparison between the candidates and those who have score maximum will get 100 percentile which can even mean 97\/100. Therefore the topper(highest score) of each session will get the same percentile of 100 which is desirable. The marks obtained in between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate Percentiles.<\/p>\n<div class=\"heading-lvblg\"><strong>Expected cut-off 85+ : Expert<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"body-lvblg\">\n<p>According to experts, the cut-off can be expected to be as high as 85+ this year. &#8220;Last year the cutoff went low. The exam was of moderate-level difficulty this year and students with their concepts cleared found it to be easy. So we are expecting the cut-off to be on the higher end.
