The addition of new buses is aimed to resolve the shortage of public transportation in the Capital.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nNewly launched Buses:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Most of these buses run between\u00a0Old Delhi Railway station<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Nilothi, Bakoli Temple, Mubarakpur Dabas, Rohini Sector 23<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Lumpur Border.<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Around\u00a015 buses<\/strong>\u00a0will operate on the route between\u00a0Qutubgarh<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0Palika Kendra<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a020<\/strong>\u00a0between\u00a0Uttam Nagar and Delhi airport<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
- Delhi government<\/strong>\u00a0also plans to add\u00a0473 new buses<\/strong>\u00a0in the existing DTC bus fleet between\u00a0January and May 2020<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
DIMTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- In\u00a02019<\/strong>, the Delhi government has added\u00a0329<\/strong>\u00a0new standard floor buses to the existing fleet so far. The cluster bus fleet operated by the\u00a0Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal System (DIMTS)<\/strong>. With this introduction, the DIMTS will have\u00a02,008 buses.<\/strong><\/li>\n

\nFASTag deadline extended to December 15<\/strong><\/div>\n\n- Union Government<\/strong>\u00a0has extended the date for making\u00a0FASTag<\/strong>\u00a0mandatory for toll payments on National Highways to\u00a015th December, 2019<\/strong>. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had earlier announced that from\u00a01st of December<\/strong>, toll payments on highways would be accepted through FASTags only.<\/li>\n
- The Ministry in a statement said, to provide some more time to citizens to buy and put FASTag on their vehicles, it has now been decided that charging of double User Fee from vehicles which enter FASTag lane without FASTag will start from\u00a015th of December this year.<\/strong><\/li>\n
- In order to save fuel, time and pollution and to ensure seamless movement of traffic, the government has launched the\u00a0National Electronic Toll Collection program<\/strong>\u00a0which provides for the collection of user fee through FASTag.\u00a0National Highways Authority of India<\/strong>, has equipped all Fee Plazas with Electronic Toll Collection System and to ease in availability of FASTag, it has also launched\u00a0MyFASTag APP\u00a0<\/strong>whereby all information regarding FASTag can be obtained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

\nHallmarking to be mandatory for gold jewellery from 2021: Ram Vilas Paswan<\/strong><\/div>\n\n- Hallmarking for Gold jewellery and artefacts<\/strong>\u00a0will be mandatory from\u00a015th January 2021<\/strong>.Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan<\/strong>\u00a0said, notification in this regard will be issued by 15 of January, 2020, giving a period of one year for implementation. He said, Jewellers and Retailers will get one year time for clearing their old or existing stock. Mr Paswan said, more than 26 thousand jewellers have taken the\u00a0Bureau of Indian Standards, BIS<\/strong>\u00a0(Hallmarking) registration till now.<\/li>\n
