- The decision was taken by the\u00a0Union Cabinet<\/strong>\u00a0at a meeting held in\u00a0New Delhi.<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Briefing media after the meeting, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government will put in 10 thousand crore rupees in the\u00a0Alternative Investment Fund (AIF)<\/strong>\u00a0while\u00a0State Bank of India<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Life Insurance Corporation<\/strong>\u00a0will provide\u00a015 thousand crore<\/strong>\u00a0rupees<\/strong>\u00a0taking the total size to\u00a025 thousand crore rupees.<\/strong><\/li>\n
- It will finance over\u00a01,600\u00a0<\/strong>stalled housing projects comprising about\u00a04.58 lakh<\/strong>\u00a0housing units across the country.<\/li>\n
- The fund will provide relief to developers that require funding to complete a set of unfinished projects and consequently ensure delivery of homes to the home-buyers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
