    Both India and East African island nation Comoros have signed some important agreements including cooperation in defence and energy sectors.<\/p>\n

    India will be extending a Line of Credit of over $41.6 million for setting up of 18 MW Power Plant in Moroni (Comoros capital).<\/p>\n

    India will also be gifting $1 million worth of medicines and medical equipments, $1 million for transport vehicles, $20 million for procurement of High-Speed Interceptor Boats and 1000 MT of rice.<\/p>\n

        • The group has carried out a wave of demonstrations in the British capital and around the world , primarily attempting to blockade city streets.<\/li>\n
        • The demonstration is the latest in a week of long-planned protests by Extinction Rebellion in countries around the world to highlight what it claims is the inadequate response of governments to climate change.<\/li>\n

          • An\u00a0Iranian oil tanker<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0Red Sea<\/strong>\u00a0has been hit by two suspected rockets on\u00a011 October, 2019<\/strong>\u00a0off the coast of Saudi Arabia and oil is leaking from the vessel.<\/li>\n
          • The\u00a0National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC)<\/strong>\u00a0said in a statement the hull of the ship sustained two separate explosions about\u00a0100km<\/strong>\u00a0off the Saudi port city of\u00a0Jeddah<\/strong>. NITC said all the ship’s crew are safe and the ship is stable too.<\/li>\n
          • It also added that those on board were trying to repair the damage.<\/li>\n
          • The incident came amid heightened tension between\u00a0Iran<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Saudi<\/strong>\u00a0Arabia<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          • Saudi Arabia has not issued any statement over the incident.<\/li>\n
          • Lieutenant Pete Pagano<\/strong>, a spokesman for the\u00a0US Navy’s 5th Fleet<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0Middle East<\/strong>, there were aware of reports of this incident but he declined to comment further.<\/li>\n

                • As the\u00a0RTI Act<\/strong>\u00a0marks its 14th anniversary a report card analysing its performance showed that government officials face hardly any punishment for violating the law by denying applicants the legitimate information sought by them.\u00a0State and Central Information Commissions<\/strong>, which are the courts of appeal under the Act, failed to impose penalties in about\u00a097%<\/strong>\u00a0of the cases where violations took place in\u00a02018-19.<\/strong><\/li>\n
