Ingredients

  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 1/4th cups of water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 3/4th cup rice flour
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • ½ teaspoon saffron
  • 1 star anise
  • 10 cardamoms
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/4th teaspoon turmeric
  • Nuts for garnishing

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix star anise, cinnamon, saffron, turmeric, and cardamom with 1/4th cup of water and cover for a few minutes
  • In a pan, cook sugar, coconut milk. salt and water. Bring to a boil
  • Add the rice flour and stir till a smooth paste is formed
  • Add the spice and cook for another 15 minutes, stirring continuously
  • Pour the mix into a dish and serve cool
