Jio has a new long term plan for its subscribers offering several call and data-based benefits. The plan carries a validity of 365 days.
In the second half of 2019, Jio has attracted a lot of attention with regards to its pricing for all its telecom services. The concept of IUC minutes arrived as well as prices of regular telecom plans were also increased after the Supreme Court delivered its verdict on the case of AGR. However, to end the year on a high note, Jio has come up with a new 2020 Happy New Year plan for its subscribers, offering lots of benefits for its users.
The Jio 2020 Happy New Year plan is essentially a new long term plan that offers multiple benefits with regards to data and calls. Jio doesn’t mention how long will this plan be available but given that it’s a New Year plan, it might stay around only for a few weeks. Compared to the older New Year plans, this year’s plan offers more benefits when compared to the regular Jio prepaid plans. For those looking to stick with Jio’s connection for at least a year, this plan is a very good deal.
What does Jio 2020 Happy New Year plan offer?
The 2020 Happy New Year plan from Jio is essentially a long term annual plan that offers a lot of benefits at a reasonable price for one year. As the name suggests, the plan costs Rs 2,020 and these are all the basic benefits it provides:
-In terms of data, users will enjoy 1.5GB data daily for the entire year. Once the data limit crosses, the speeds will go down unless subscribers buy data extension packs. Jio only offers 4G VoLTE services through its network.
-Jio is still offering free calls with this plan but there’s a catch. Users will still be able to make free calls to other Jio users but when it comes to off-net calls, i.e. calls to other networks, users will be charged IUC minutes. The 2020 Happy New Year plan offers 12,000 minutes of free IUC minutes, which translates to 1,000 minutes of off-net calls to other networks per month. Subscribers will be able to make free calls to landline numbers as well as get free incoming calls.
-Users will 100 SMSes per day for the entire validity period.
-This is an annual plan and subscribers will be able to enjoy all the benefits for the next 365 minutes from the date of which the recharge was made.
-Jio will also give complimentary access to all the Jio apps, including access to JioCinema, JioTV, AJio, JioMoney and other Jio apps.

Users will be able to buy the Jio 2020 Happy New Year plan from Jio app and website. Do note that Jio isn’t offering any discount coupons with the Happy New Year plan.
