Hyderabad: Telangana High Court on Friday directed the state Government to postpone 10th class examinations.
While tomorrow’s examination will be held as per schedule, others scheduled to be held from March 23 – 29, 2020 should be put off, the court said.
A decision will be taken on remaining exams to be held from March 30 to April 6 in due course depending on circumstances, the High Court said.
On Wednesday, while announcing a slew of measure to tackle coronavirus threat, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said 10th class examinations will be held under proper precautionary measures.
హైదరాబాద్‌: కరోనా వైరస్‌ వ్యాప్తి దృష్ట్యా తెలంగాణలో పదో తరగతి పరీక్షలు వాయిదా వేయాలని హైకోర్టు ఆదేశించింది. రేపు జరగాల్సిన పరీక్ష మాత్రం యథావిధిగా నిర్వహించాలని సూచించింది. ఈనెల 23 నుంచి 30 వరకు జరగాల్సిన అన్ని పరీక్షలు రీ షెడ్యూల్‌ చేయాలని న్యాయస్థానం ఆదేశించింది. ఈనెల 30 నుంచి ఏప్రిల్‌ 6వరకు జరగాల్సిన పరీక్షలపై పరిస్థితిని బట్టి తదుపరి నిర్ణయం తీసుకోవాలని సూచించింది.
రాష్ట్రంలో గురువారం నుంచి పదో తరగతి పరీక్షలు ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. కరోనా వైరస్‌ విజృంభిస్తున్న నేపథ్యంలో పరీక్షలు కొనసాగించడాన్ని సవాల్‌ చేస్తూ హైకోర్టులో ప్రజాప్రయోజన వ్యాజ్యం దాఖలైంది. అత్యవసర వ్యాజ్యంగా భావించిన ఉన్నత న్యాయస్థానం విచారణ చేపట్టింది. ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా కరోనా వణికిస్తున్న తరుణంలో పరీక్షలు కొనసాగించడం సమంజసం కాదని పిటిషనర్‌ తరఫు న్యాయవాది పవన్‌ కుమార్‌ వాదించారు. విద్యార్థులు కూడా ప్రశాంతంగా చదవలేని గందరగోళ పరిస్థితులు ఉన్నందున పరీక్షలు వాయిదా వేయాలని లేదా పటిష్ఠ ఏర్పాట్లు చేయాలని కోరారు. వాదనలు విన్న న్యాయస్థానం.. సోమవారం నుంచి ఈనెల 30 వరకు నిర్వహించాల్సిన పరీక్షలు వాయిదా వేయాలని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ఆదేశించింది.
