ICAI to allows option to change Test Centres
Keeping in mind the rising threat of COVID-19 infections, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will reopen the application correction window for ICAI CA May 2020 Examinations. The window will open on 21st March allowing candidates to make chances to the exam centre / test centres field provided in the application form. The application correction window will stay open until 23rd March 2020.

Maharashtra to promote 1st to 8th Class students without exams
As per the latest update, Maharashtra Government has decided to cancel all school level examinations for primary and upper primary classes. According to the government notification, students of Class 1st to 8th will be promoted to the next class without any exams due to the coronavirus outbreak. The decision was announced by Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad while interacting with media persons. She also added that exams for 9th and 11th Class students will be held after 15th April 2020.

Covid-19: HC orders Telangana to postpone 10th class exams [TS SSC Exams]
Hyderabad: Telangana High Court on Friday directed the state Government to postpone 10th class examinations.
While tomorrow’s examination will be held as per schedule, others scheduled to be held from March 23 – 29, 2020 should be put off, the court said.
A decision will be taken on remaining exams to be held from March 30 to April 6 in due course depending on circumstances, the High Court said.
On Wednesday, while announcing a slew of measure to tackle coronavirus threat, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said 10th class examinations will be held under proper precautionary measures.
NVS TGT 2019 Interview Postponed

SSB Batches starting from 20th March Put on Hold
According to latest update, the Services Selection Board Batches which were slated to commence from 20th March 2020 have been put on hold in the wake of Coronavirus outbreak. Indian Army issued a notification confirming the development to postpone start of all the Services Selection Board Batches. SSB Batches for nearly 90 courses were expected to start from 20th March 2020 in which jawans and officers from various regiments of the Indian Army would be participating.
J&K Administration orders Work from Home for teachers
The Jammu & Kashmir administration has ordered all teaching and non-teaching staff members to follow mandatory ‘Work From Home’ policy as classwork has been suspended in the UT following the outbreak of Coronavirus. The order also states that only the headmasters/ ZEOs / Principles/ CEOs/ HODs etc are allowed to enter the school premises but they are also to maintain social distancing. Yesterday, various universities of the region also announced closure following the guidelines issued by UGC and MHRD.
Kerala SSLC (10th), Plus Two (12th) and other Exam Postponed
Following a high level meeting today morning (20th March 2020), Kerala Government has decided to postpone SSLC / 10th Class and Plus Two i.e. Class 12 Exams as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In addition to SSLC and Plus Two Exams, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan also said that University and School level examinations have also been postponed by the board.
Due to the rising number of cases of COVID-19, Gujarat Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has postponed the GUJCET 2020 exam. The Gujarat Common Entrance Test 2020 is a state level entrance exam which was to be held on 31st March 2020 to screen candidates for admission to engineering and pharmacy programmes. As of now the exam has been postponed and will now be held after 15th April 2020.
In line accordance with the Government directive, Punjab School Examination Board i.e. PSEB has postponed the exam for all the pending papers for both 10th and 12th Class students. According to the official notification, Punjab Board has postponed all the exams that were scheduled to be held between 20th March 2020 and 31st March 2020 in the view of COVID-19 outbreak. The official notification read “all the practical board exams for Class 8 as well as the scheduled written exams for Classes 5, 10 and 12 have been postponed till March 31.” In addition to this, the government has also relieved all teaching and non-teaching staff from attending school until 31st March 2020 looking at the Coronavirus Emergency.
CGBSE Board Exams 2020 Postponed
In line with the other state board examinations being postponed, Chhattisgarh Board has also decided to postpone the on-going CGBSE 10th and 12th Board Exam 2020 until 31st March 2020. According to the datesheet, CG Board 10th Exam 2020 were to be held from 3rd to 26th March 2020 while Class 12 Exams were to be held from 2nd to 31st March 2020. After postponement, students who had papers left after 20th March will now have to appear for those exams after 31st March 2020. The rescheduled dates for Chhattisgarh Board Exam 2020 will be announced at a later date by the board.
Along with Schools, University and Board Exams, several government recruitment agencies have also called off their examinations in the view of COVID-19 outbreak. According to a notice published by the Staff Selection Commission, SSC CHSL Exam 2020 scheduled to be held on 20th March 2020 has been postponed. On similar line, the commission has also postponed the SSC JE Exam 2020 which was to be held on 30th March and 2nd April 2020. Haryana Govt Announces Work From Home for Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff
Haryana Government has implemented ‘Work From Home’ policy for teaching and non-teaching staff of government as well as private schools operating in the state. The order to this effect was passed by Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Mahavir Singh, who said that the state government has decided to completely close down schools in the state until 31st March 2020. Evaluation work for exams already held will continue in Work From Home mode for all the teachers.
Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore has also announced postponement of all undergraduate level exams scheduled until 31st March 2020. Nearly 1.3 lakh students from the varsity were registered to appear for DAVV UG Exam 2020 starting soon. DAVV vice chancellor Dr Renu Jain issued a notification which said that all exams have been postponed in line with the government’s order. However, the University is expected to continue the evaluation work during this period as DAVV follows decentralized evaluation process. The university sends the bundles to the examiners and therefore the evaluation work will continue.
MP Board has cancelled 10th and 12th Board Exams due to Coronavirus outbreak in India. According to the official notification published by the MP Board, all exams including High School i.e. 10th Class, Higher Secondary i.e. 12th Class and Higher Secondary Vocational Exams have been postponed until 31st March 2020. In addition to this, the board has also postponed the evaluation of answer books which was slated to commence from 21st March 2020.
3 Kendriya Vidyalyas Abroad to be closed due to COVID-19 Threat
Kendriya Vidyalya Sangathan (KVS) has ordered closure of three Kendriya Vidyalyas located outside India, keeping in mind the rising threat of Coronavirus infections for its students. Following the orders issued by KVS, Kendriya Vidyalyas in Kathmandu, Moscow and Tehran will be closed until further notice.
Rajasthan Govt postpones all School, College, Board Exams
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has announced that his government has decided to postpone all school, colleges and board exams until further notice due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The decision has been taken as part of Gehlot Government’s measures to counter COVID-19 in the state.
UGC asks Universities to postpone exams, halt evaluation work
Following the MRHD order directing educational institutions to cancel exams, the University Grants Commission has also issued a notification for all universities advising them to postpone exams until 31st March 2020. In addition to the examinations, UGC has also directed the varsities to halt all on-going evaluation work for exams held so far to ensure safety and health of evaluators and teachers.
Bihar DElEd Exam 2020 Postponed due to COVID-19
Amid rising concerns around COVID-19 infection, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has decided to postpone Bihar DElEd Exam 2020 to a later date. As per the regular schedule, the Bihar DElEd Entrance Exam was scheduled to be held on 28th March, but the same has now been postponed indefinitely, until further notice. As per tentative estimates, around 1.81 lakh candidates have registered for the Bihar Diploma Elementary Education 2020 Entrance Test.
Delhi Schools Closed Until 31st March for Teaching / Non-Teaching Staff
Delhi Government has issued a notice stating that all schools in located in Delhi will remain closed until 31st March 2020 for all teaching and non-teaching staff. Earlier, the Arvind Kejriwal government had announced closure of schools for students, but teachers and other staff members were required to be present at the schools. Keeping in view the COVID-19 threat, the Delhi government has asked for complete closure of the schools until 31st March 2020 for staff members as well.
Rajasthan University Postpones all Examinations
Rajasthan University has also announced that it is postponing all the examinations for UG and PG students until 31st March, in line with the MHRD directive. The university stated that all examination, including those to be held by college affiliated with the University of Rajasthan will now be postponed and new or revised dates for the same will be announced at a later stage. The university has also advised students to keep visiting the official website to get latest news and updates.
ICSE 10th and 12th Exam 2020 Postponed
CISCE Board has decided to postpone ICSE 10th Board Exam 2020 and ISC 12th Board Exam 2020 in the view of COVID-19 threat to the students. The board announced its decision to cancel all exams scheduled until 31st March in line with the MHRD order issued yesterday through a notification. The notification stated that ‘the revised dates for conduct of remaining papers shall be notified in due course of time. The board has also asked all the respective schools to ensure that concerned students, teachers and parents are informed of this decision.
Haryana Board Exam 2020 Postponed Until 31st March
The Board of School Education, Haryana has postponed all exams including all the remaining papers of BSEH 10th and 12th Exam 2020 until 31st March in the view of the Coronavirus outbreak in the country. HBSE i.e. Haryana Board will be issuing fresh dates for the postponed examinations after 31st March 2020. In the meanwhile, Haryana Board has also issued a notification confirming the same and also advised students and parents not to panic and practice social distancing to keep COVID-19 at bay. The board also notified that the measure has been implemented as a precautionary move for safety and health of the students.
AMU cancels all Exams until 2nd April
In the light of MHRD order for cancellation of all University Exams, Aligarh Muslim University has also decided to postpone all its on-going and scheduled exams until 31st March 2020. Yesterday, AMU had cancelled the school admission entrance test in the light of Coronavirus outbreak. Now, the varsity has decided to postpone all UG and PG exams for AMU until end of the month. Students must note that exams have been cancelled for all exam centres including Malappuram, Murshidabad and Kishanganj, all school exams including the class 10 and 12 exams, and all mid-semester exams in ZH College of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Rohilkhand University Postpones Exam until 1st April
Following MHRD order advising cancellation of all University Exams, Rohilkhand University has also postponed all exams to be held until 31st March 2020. Rohilkhand University Controller of Examinations Dr Sanjeev Kumar Sinh has said that revised dates for examinations will be announced only after they get further instructions from the administration. While the university has cancelled all exams and halted all teaching related activities, teachers, university administration officials are still required to be present at the university during this period.
Kendriya Vidhyalaya Cancel, Postpone Exams
In the light of rising threat of COVID-19 infections, Kendriya Vidhyalaya across the country have decided to either cancel the exams altogether or postpone them until April. The decision to cancel exam was taken at a high powered committee in which it was decided that exams for 6th to 8th class students would be cancelled.
CUK and CUS Postpone Exams, Admission Process
Following the order or Srinagar District Administration, Cluster University Srinagar (CUS) has also postponed all examinations scheduled to be held until 31st March. In addition to this, CUS has also postponed the on-going admission process for first semester students until further notice. On similar lines, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) has also postponed all the examination with immediate effect. Students have been asked to vacate hostels, as all hostels are expected to locked and sealed until further notice.
JKBOSE, Kashmir University Cancel All Exams
According to media reports, JKBOSE i.e. Jammu and Kashmir Board has decided to cancel all examinations for Summer and Winter zone students and reschedule the same after 31st March 2020, after reviewing the situation around COVID-19. Similarly, Kashmir University has also postponed all its exams for undergraduate and postgraduate students as well. As per the statement provided by Registrar KU, Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir, new dates for postponed exams will be notified later, separately.
